N’ utagir’ umwete mu nzira y’ Imana,

Ntabg’ uzinjira mw ijuru

Rindir’ umutima mw ijambo ry’ Imana,

Ni ryo rizagukomeza

Irembo ni rito ndetse n’ inzira nto

Wihangane rwose kugira ng’ ucemo,

Niwemere non’ agakiza k’ Imana

Nibg’ uzagera mw ijuru

(He who has no zeal in God's way,)

(Will not enter heaven)

(Establish your heart in God's word,)

(It is what will strengthen you)

(The gate is narrow and the path is small)

(Endure completely so that you may pass through,)

(Accept now God's salvation)

(Then you will reach heaven)

Ibigusha byinshi biri mu rugendo

Kandi bizanwa n’ umwanzi

Ushobora rwose kunesh’ ibyo byose

Bishaka kukudindiza

Ntugakurikire ijwi wumva ryose

Kuko byashobora kukuyoby’ inzira

Ukwiye ku menya ko Yes’ agukunda

Nawe witang’ ukomeje,

(There are many stumbling blocks on the journey)

(And they are brought by the enemy)

(You can completely overcome all of them)

(That try to hinder you)

(Do not follow every voice you hear)

(Because they could lead you astray)

(You should know that Jesus loves you)

(You too give yourself completely,)

N’ utizer’ Imana ntuzajya mw ijuru

Habe no guc’ umutaru

Kandi n’ ubugingo ntabw’ uzabubona

Iryo n’ ijambo ry’ Imana

Mu kwizera gu sa ni ho wakirizwa

N’ ubu ndetse wumv’ ijambo ry’ agakiza

Niwihan’ ibyaha, wizer’ Umukiza,

Inzira y’ ukuri n’ iyo

(He who does not believe in God will not go to heaven)

(Not even to sneak in)

(And life you will not obtain)

(That is the word of God)

(Through such faith is how you are received)

(Even now hear the word of salvation)

(Repent of sins, believe in the Savior,)

(That is the way of truth)

Iman’ irashaka ko bose bakizwa,

Kandi bahabw’ ubugingo

Iraguha naw’ umurage w’ ijuru

Nib’ uwusha kan’ umwete,

Kand’ Iman’ ikunda umutima wawe

Yesu na we agashaka kuwukiza,

Kand’ Umwuka Wera aragukangura,

Niba wumvir’ uzahirwa

(God wants everyone to be saved,)

(And to be given life)

(He gives you also the inheritance of heaven)

(If you have zeal,)

(And God loves your heart)

(Jesus too wants to save it,)

(And the Holy Spirit awakens you,)

(If you obey you will be blessed)
