N’ utagir’ umwete mu nzira y’ Imana,(He who has no zeal in God's way,)

Ntabg’ uzinjira mw ijuru(Will not enter heaven)

Rindir’ umutima mw ijambo ry’ Imana,(Establish your heart in God's word,)

Ni ryo rizagukomeza(It is what will strengthen you)

Irembo ni rito ndetse n’ inzira nto(The gate is narrow and the path is small)

Wihangane rwose kugira ng’ ucemo,(Endure completely so that you may pass through,)

Iryo n’ ijambo ry’ Imana(That is the word of God)

Mu kwizera gu sa ni ho wakirizwa(Through such faith is how you are received)
