Ni wowe Pasaka yac’ idukwiriye

Warababajw’ ubwo wavag’ amaraso,

Washakaga gukor’ iby’ Iman’ ishaka

Kandi wababariye n’ i Getsemane,

Arik’ uhozwa n’ ijambo ry’ Ihoraho

Mu gusenga kwawe wahaw’ imbaraga

Hanyuma urapf’ uduhesh’ agakiza

(You were nailed for us, Savior, on the tree:)

(You are our fitting Passover)

(You suffered as You shed blood,)

(You wanted to do what God wanted)

(And You suffered in Gethsemane,)

(But were comforted by the word of the Eternal One)

(In Your prayer You were given strength)

(Then You died, giving us salvation)

(Lord, You were wounded for me)

(You died so that I may have life)

(You became a fitting sacrifice for us,)

(When You agreed to suffer for us)

(You agreed to die for all people on earth)

(And all of it is because of Your love)

Biduha guhinduk’inshuti z’ Imana

Noneho tebuk’ uve mu byaha byawe

Ubigaragarize byose mu mucyo

Umukiza mwiz’ arakubabarira,

Arakubohora kand’ aragufasha

(Now what is reconciliation with God?)

(It is being forgiven of the curse of sins)

(What does drawing near to God gain us?)

(It makes us become friends of God)

(Now wake up and leave your sins)

(Reveal everything in the light)

(The good Savior forgives you,)
