Za mbaraga zamanukiye abigishwa ba Yesu mu murwa Yerusalemu;

Iyo ni Pentekote

Izo mbaraga z’ Umukiza, Ziriho n’ ubu!

Mushim’ Imana

Na non’ ubu ziriho, na non’ ubu ziriho

Impano impano, izo mpano z’ Imana,

Na non’ ubu ziriho

(That power came down upon the disciples of Jesus in the city of Jerusalem;)

(That was Pentecost)

(That power of the Savior is still here today!)

Yesu yabasezeranije kuzahabw’ imbaraga

Bashimy’ Imana, kuk’ Umwuka yabamanukiye

Abari bafit’ intege nke,

Bigishije n’ imbaraga nyinshi

(Jesus had promised them to receive power)

(Praise God, because the Spirit came down upon them)

(Those who had been weak,)

(Taught with great power)

Uwo Mwuka iy’ atujemo, atwuzuz’ imbaraga

Duhabwa kwizera gushyitse, tukanesh’ umubi

Tugir’ umuriro w’ Imana,

Tuzan’ abandi k’ Umucunguzi

(When that Spirit enters us, He fills us with power)

(We are given perfect faith, and we overcome the evil one)

(We have the fire of God,)

(We bring others to the Redeemer)

Yes’ ujye mu mitima yacu, ucane mw umuriro

Iminsi yose tugumane kwera mu mitima

Mwuka Wera, ngwino nka mbere,

Kuri wa munsi wa Pentekote

(Jesus, enter our hearts, kindle the fire)

(Every day may we remain holy in our hearts)

(Holy Spirit, come as before,)

(As on that day of Pentecost)
