Nari narazimiriyekure, nibagiwe Yesu,

Nyuma Yes’ ambwiz’ ijwi rye, rinzanir’ umunezero

Non’ ubu ndanezerewe, Kuko Yesu yantaruye

Aherakw anyoz’ ibyaha. Niyemeje kumukunda

(I had wandered far away, having forgotten Jesus,)

(Then Jesus spoke to me with His voice, bringing me joy)

(Now I am rejoicing, Because Jesus saved me)

(From there He washed away my sins. I have decided to love Him)

Sinajyaga niyibutsa ko nzajy’ imbere y’ Imana

Ubw’ izaducir’ imanza, zihwanye n’ ibyo twakoze

(I never used to think that I will go before God)

(When He will judge us, according to what we have done)

Nari narushye mu byaha, nza kugarukira Yesu

Nukw ambwir’ ijambo ryiza, mperako mbon’ amahoro

(I was weary in sins, I came to return to Jesus)

(Then He spoke a good word to me, so that I might find peace)
