Ubugingo bwacu ni bugufi cyane,

Twabugeranya n’ ubwato mu mazi

Tunyura mu nyanja i’ rimw amakuba,

Arik’ Umukiza ni w’ utuyobora

Ubwo tuyoborwa n’ Umukiza wacu,

Dufit’ amahoro mur’ urwo rugendo

Kand’ azatugeza mw ijur’ amahoro,

Ntabgo tuzongera kwibuk’ urugendo

(Our life is very short,)

(We compare it to a boat on water)

(We pass through a sea full of troubles,)

(But the Savior is the one who guides us)

(When we are guided by our Savior,)

(We have peace in that journey)

(And He will bring us to heaven in peace,)

(We will no longer remember the journey)

Tunyura mu mbeho mu muyaga mwinshi,

Ijambo ry’ Imana rituber’ umucyo

Ubwoba n’ amakuba mur’ ubwo bwato

Bizibagirana mw ijuru kwa Yesu

(We pass through the cold in the great wind,)

(The word of God is our light)

(Fear and troubles in that boat)

(Will be forgotten in heaven with Jesus)

Nubw’ uwo muyaga ufit’ imbaraga,

Natwe twegereye ku nkombe y’ uruzi

Nta muyag’ uhari, nta murab’ uhari

N’ ukuri tuzasohora mu mahoro

(Even though that wind has power,)

(We are also approaching the riverbank)

(There is no wind there, there is no mist there)

(Truly we will come out in peace)

Ubwo tuzagera kwa Data mw ijuru,

Rwose tuzashimir’ Umukiza Yesu

Nta yandi makuba tuzagir’ ukundi,

Tubanye na Yesu mu bwami mw ijuru

(When we arrive at Father's in heaven,)

(We will truly thank Jesus the Savior)

(We will have no more troubles again,)

(Living with Jesus in the kingdom in heaven)
