Twabugeranya n’ ubwato mu mazi(We compare it to a boat on water)

Tunyura mu nyanja i’ rimw amakuba,(We pass through a sea full of troubles,)

Arik’ Umukiza ni w’ utuyobora(But the Savior is the one who guides us)

Ubwo tuyoborwa n’ Umukiza wacu,(When we are guided by our Savior,)

Dufit’ amahoro mur’ urwo rugendo(We have peace in that journey)

Kand’ azatugeza mw ijur’ amahoro,(And He will bring us to heaven in peace,)

Ntabgo tuzongera kwibuk’ urugendo(We will no longer remember the journey)

Tunyura mu mbeho mu muyaga mwinshi,(We pass through the cold in the great wind,)

Ijambo ry’ Imana rituber’ umucyo(The word of God is our light)

Ubwoba n’ amakuba mur’ ubwo bwato(Fear and troubles in that boat)

Bizibagirana mw ijuru kwa Yesu(Will be forgotten in heaven with Jesus)

Nubw’ uwo muyaga ufit’ imbaraga,(Even though that wind has power,)

Natwe twegereye ku nkombe y’ uruzi(We are also approaching the riverbank)

Nta muyag’ uhari, nta murab’ uhari(There is no wind there, there is no mist there)

N’ ukuri tuzasohora mu mahoro(Truly we will come out in peace)

Ubwo tuzagera kwa Data mw ijuru,(When we arrive at Father's in heaven,)

Rwose tuzashimir’ Umukiza Yesu(We will truly thank Jesus the Savior)

Nta yandi makuba tuzagir’ ukundi,(We will have no more troubles again,)

Tubanye na Yesu mu bwami mw ijuru(Living with Jesus in the kingdom in heaven)
