Harih’ umuns’ izuba rizarasa,

Wa munsi tuzageraho mw ijuru

Ni ho tuzaba dutay’ umuruho

Tuzaba dufit’ umunezer’ udashira

Tuzamusanganira Yesu Kristo

Kuk’ ari we wadukirije mur’ iyi si

Tuzamwitegerereza mw ijuru

Tuzamushimir’ urukundo yadukunze

(There is a day when the sun will rise,)

(That day we will arrive there in heaven)

(That is where we will lay down our burdens)

(We will have joy that never ends)

(We will meet Jesus Christ)

(Because He is the one who saved us in this world)

(We will wait for Him in heaven)

(We will thank Him for the love He loved us with)

Harih’ umunsi tuzabona byose

Iman’ ibihinduye kuba bishya

Kur’ uwo munsi Umukiza wacu

Azatwugururir’ urugi rwo mw ijuru

(There is a day we will see everything)

(God will have made things new)

(On that day our Savior)

(Will open the gate of heaven for us)

Tugeragezwa kenshi mu rugendo

Tuzanezerwa tugeze mw ijuru

Kand’ umwijima nta bw’ uzahagera

Tu zarushaho guhimbaz’ Umucunguzi

(We are tested often on the journey)

(We will rejoice when we reach heaven)

(And darkness will never reach there)

(We will praise the Redeemer even more)
