Anshyira ku bitugu anjyana mu rugo rwe

Haririmbg’ indirimbo nziza

Ziririmbga na maraika

Yaj’ aje kunshaka kugira ngw ankize

Yamvanye mu musayo w’ urupfu

Yanshyize mu rugo rwe r w’ intama

(Because of great love He came to seek me,)

(He put me on His shoulders and took me to His home)

(There are beautiful songs being sung)

(Sung by the angels)

(He came to seek me so that He might save me)

(He took me out of the mire of death)

(He placed me in His home of sheep)

Yesu, Mwungeri mwiza, Yanzu ye mu mutima

Aherakw ambwir’ ati, Mwana Wanjye nakunze

Uko ni kw iryo jwi rye ryiza Ryahojej’ umutima wanjye

(Jesus, the Good Shepherd, has settled in my heart)

Nta bwo nakwibagirwa ko ya vuy’ amaraso

Ubwo bamwambikaga na rya kamba ry’ amahwa,

Kandi ku musaraba

ni ho Nshimir’ Umwami Yesu Kristo

(I cannot forget that He shed His blood)

(When they dressed Him in that crown of thorns,)

(There I thank the Lord Jesus Christ)
