Mu gihe cyo gusenga, amase ngesho yacu

Agera kure cyane, atambuka n’ inyenyeri

Umutima w’ umuntu

ujy’ imbere y’ Imana,

Ugakomang’ urugi, Ushaka kureb’ Imana

(In the time of prayer, our prayers)

(Reach very far, surpassing the stars)

(The heart of a person)

(Goes before God,)

(And knocks at the door, seeking to see God)

Nta mahoro yuzuye twabona mur’ iyi si,

Kwa Data ni ho gusa hasenderey’ amahoro

Umutim’ uzatuza, N’ umucy’ uzaba mwinshi,

Niba dukurikiye inzira y’ amasengesho

(No complete peace can be found in this world,)

(Only at the Father's place does peace flow)

(The heart will be calm, and light will be abundant,)

(If we follow the path of prayer)

Ndetse n’ umwana muto uzi guseng’ Imana,

Nta bw’ azagir’ ubwoba, azafashwa no gusenga

Kandi ntitwibagirwe yukw aho tujya hose,

Yuko gusenga kwacu kugera ku Mana Data!

(Even a small child who knows how to pray to God,)

(Will have no fear, will be helped through prayer)

(And let us not forget that wherever we go,)

(That our prayers reach God the Father!)
