Tuzajyanwa kuri wa munsi
Ubw’ impand’ izab’ ivuze
Tuzateranir’ imbere ye,
Dushimir’ Umwami Yesu
Hazamanuka ba maraika
Bazaza kurimbur’ abantu,
Abanze kwakir’ Umukiza,
Bakamurutish’ iby’ iyi si
Hazabaho kurira gusa
Ndetse no guhekeny’ amenyo
Igihe cyo kwizera Yesu
Kizaba gishize rwose
(We will be taken on that day)
(When the trumpet will sound)
(We will gather before Him,)
(Praising the Lord Jesus)
(Angels will descend)
(They will come to destroy people,)
(Those who refused to receive the Savior,)
(Preferring the things of this world)
(There will be weeping only)
(And gnashing of teeth)
(The time to believe in Jesus)
(Will be completely over)

(Those who have many wives)
(At that time will be punished)
(Sorcerers and poisoners)
(And all witch doctors,)
(They will be utterly ashamed)
(Before the Savior Jesus)
(They will seek a place to flee)
(But they will not find it)
Abatunz’ iby’ iyi si gusa
Bazashyirwa mu rubanza
Ubutunzi bwabo bw’ iyi si
Buzahinduk’ umurama
Nta cyo bazabasha kubona
Cyabakiz’ ibyaha bakoze
Bazafatwa kur’ uwo munsi
Batabwe muri wa muriro.
(Those who treasure only earthly things)
(Will be brought to judgment)
(Their earthly wealth)
(Will become ashes)
(They will find nothing)
(To save them from the sins they committed)
(They will be arrested on that day)
(And thrown into that fire.)

Nta teka tuzacirwaho
Tuzaba tujya nywe mw ijuru,
Tuzasangira na Yesu
Azatwambik’ imyenda yera
N’ ingofero nziza cyane
Inkota z’ abamaraika
Zizirukan’ abanyabyaha
(And we Christians of the Messiah)
(No judgment will be passed on us)
(We will go together to heaven,)
(We will feast with Jesus)
(He will clothe us in white garments)
(And beautiful crowns)
(The swords of the angels)
(Will drive away the sinners)
