Ni nk’ amazi menshi cyane

Ameze nk’ isoko nziza

Idudubiza muri we

Yesu ni we wuguruye

Rwa rurembo rwo mw ijuru,

Kugira ngo ndwinjiremo

Kubg’ ubuntu bginsh’ agira

(The love of the Savior)

(Is like abundant waters)

(It is like a beautiful spring)

(Overflowing in Him)

(Jesus is the One who opened)

(The gates of heaven,)

(So that I may enter)

(Because of His abundant grace)

Nababay’ iminsi myinshi,

Nasaga n’ inyon’ ihigwa

Natakiy’ Umwami Yesu

Na we ntiyanyirukanye

(I suffered for many days,)

(I was like a hunted bird)

(I cried out to the Lord Jesus)

(And He did not reject me)

Mwiyumvir’ igitangaza,

Yanyogej’ ibyaha byose,

Kuber’ ubgo bunt’ agira

Ndirimban’ umunezero

(Consider this wonder,)

(He washed away all my sins,)

(Because of the grace He has)

(I sing with joy)

Mu gitondo cy’ agakiza

Nzagera mur’ iryo rembo

Kuber’ urukund’ afite

Nzinjira mur’ uwo murwa.

(In the morning of salvation)

(I will reach that gate)

(Because of the love He has)

(I will enter that city.)
