Hazabahw igihe cy’ imperuka

Urubanza rucibwe na Yesu

Azarucir’ abaremwe bose

Kuko bazaba bar’ imbere ye

Nibw’ azaherakw abarobanura

Nk’ umwungeri mu ntama n’ ihene:

Intama niz’ azashyir’ iburyo bwe,

Ibumos’ azaha shyir’ ihene

(There will be a time at the end)

(Judgment will be passed by Jesus)

(He will judge all creatures)

(Because they will be before Him)

(Then He will separate them there)

(Like a shepherd with sheep and goats:)

(The sheep indeed He will place on His right,)

(On the left He will place the goats)

(Behold, the kingdom you are called to)

(From the creation of the world)

(They will shine like the sun)

(God the Father will illuminate them)

Mwaranyambitse nambay’ ubusa

Ryari twakubonye wambay’ ubusa

Tugukorer’ ibyo byos’ uvuze?

(You lodged Me as a stranger)

(You clothed Me when I was naked)

(And they will say: When were You a stranger,)

(Or when did we see You hungry,)

(When did we see You naked)

(That we did all these things You speak of?)

Muv’ aho ndi mwabivume,

Nimugende mujye mu muriro

Wa Satani hamwe n’ ingabo ze

Ntimwamfunguriy’ ubwo nari nshonje

Mfit’ inyota ntimwampay’ amazi

Nar’ umushyitsi ntimwanshumbikira

Ntimwansuye ubwo nari ndwaye.

(He will say to those on His left:)

(Depart from Me, you cursed ones,)

(Go into the fire)

(Of Satan together with his army)

(You did not feed Me when I was hungry)

(I was thirsty, you did not give Me water)

(I was a stranger, you did not lodge Me)

(You did not visit Me when I was sick.)

Ryari twakubony’ ur’ umushyitsi?

Ryari twakubony’ urwaye, Mukiza?

Ryari twakubonyehw ibyo byose?

Ibyo byos’ uvuze ntitwabibonye

Ngo tubure kukwerek’ ineza

(Then they will say to the Lord Jesus:)

(When did we see You hungry?)

(When did we see You thirsty?)

(When did we see You as a stranger?)

(When did we see You sick, Savior?)

(When did we see all these things?)

(All these things You speak of, we did not see)

(To fail to show You kindness)

(Whatever you did to the least of these)

(Truly, it is Me you were doing it to)

(They will all remember what they did)

(Those on the left will weep)

(Those on the right will be taken to heaven)

(They will forever rejoice eternally)
