Yabambiwe ku musaraba

(I have a very wonderful Savior,)

(Because He came to save me)

(He gave His whole life,)

(To die for all who are on earth)

(He was nailed to the cross,)

(He was nailed because of sins I committed,)

(He left His beauty in heaven,)

(Coming to this world we are in)

(He suffered because of me,)

(And He opened heaven for me)

Byose ni ko ya byikoreye,

Ngw ankize kand’ amp’ amahoro

(He gathered my sins,)

(And also my sufferings)

(All of them He took upon Himself,)

(To save me and give me peace)

Yesu yasubiye mw ijuru,

Kuko yar’ aneshej’ urupfu

Arikw azagaruka vuba,

Gutwar’ abamwizeye bose

(Jesus returned to heaven,)

(Because He had conquered death)

(But He will return soon,)

(To take all who believe in Him)
