Ai Mana y’ ukuri,(O God of truth,)

komeza kunyobora,(continue to guide me,)

Uranshishe mu nzira yo gukor’ iby’ ushaka(Lead me in the way of doing Your will)

Mwami kubaho ntagufite(Lord, living without You)

Binter’ ubwoba n’ amaganya(Brings fear and worries)

Ndetse byabasha kungeza no mu rupfu vuba(They could even bring me quickly to death)

Ibyiza mbona n’ ibi:(The good I see is this:)

Kwizer’ Umwami Yesu(To believe in the Lord Jesus)

No guhora ngendera mu nzira ye ntunganye(And to always walk in His straight path)

Nawe yemeye kujy’ andinda,(And He agreed to protect me,)

Ndetse no ku nyobora neza(And also to guide me well)

Ampesha no kwinjira vuba mu mahoro ye(He enables me to enter quickly into His peace)

Ub’ urugendo mfite(The journey I have)

n’ urwo kujya mw’ ijuru(is that of going to heaven)

Umukiza niy’ ari nanjye nkwiye kujyayo(If the Savior is there, I too should go there)

Kand’ umunsi nzaba ngezeyo(And the day I arrive there)

Nzamuhimbazany’ ibyishimo(I will worship Him with joy)

Nzanezezwa nuko ari we wanguz’ amaraso(I will rejoice that He is the One who bought me with blood)

Mur’ iyi si huzuy’ umuruho n’ amahane(In this world there is toil and suffering)

Icyo nkeneye cyose simperako nkibona(All that I need I cannot always get)

Ariko ku munsi mukuru(But on that great day)

Ubwo nzabon’ Umucunguzi(When I see the Redeemer)

Niringiye kuzabon’ ingororano yanjye(I trust I will receive my reward)

Mw’ ijuru sinzabona(In heaven I will not see)

abanzi banjy’ ukundi,(my enemies anymore,)

Nta n’ icyo nzahabura mw ‘ ijuru ry’ amahoro(There is nothing I will lack in that heaven of peace)

Nzashim’ Imana mvuz’ impundu(I will praise God shouting for joy)

Nti Haleluya, haleluya!(Saying Hallelujah, hallelujah!)
