Rusumb’ukwezi; rusumb’izuba;

Rwatumye Yes’aza mw’isi yacu,

Ngw’indushy’ aturuhure;

Na cya Kirara cy’inzererezi,

Rwatumye S’acyakira

Mbes’urukundo rw’Imana yacu

Rwagereranywa n’iki ?

Mw’ijuru n’isi baruririmbe,

Kugez’iteka ryose !

(Behold the love of our God,)

(No one could measure its greatness!)

(It surpasses the moon; surpasses the sun;)

(And even to hell, it reaches down)

(It caused Jesus to come to our earth,)

(That our souls He might rescue;)

(Even that star of bright morning,)

(It caused the Father to accept Him)

(What could the love of our God)

(Ever be compared to?)

(In heaven and earth let them sing it,)

(Forever and evermore!)

2.

Ingoma zose zo mw isi yacu

Zijya zihita zishiraho ;

Abang’Imana, ntibayisenge,

Bazapfa bose, be Kwibukwa

Nyamar’urwo rukundo rw’Imana

Rutagir’akagero,

Urw’idukunda tw’abari mw’isi,

Ni rwo rutazashira

(All kingdoms here on our earth)

(Will quickly come to an end;)

(Those who reject God, and don't worship,)

(Will perish, all will be forgotten)

(But still that love of our God)

(Has no measure or limit,)

(The love for us who dwell on earth,)

(Is the love that will never end)

3.

Inyanja zose zaba nka Wino,

Ijuru rikab’impapuro,

Ibyatsi nabyo bakabigira

Byos’uducumu tw’abanditsi,

Ab’isi bose bakandikaho

Iby’urukundo rwayo,

Ntibabimara ! Ntibyakwirwaho !

Hakam’ inyanj’ari yo !

(If all the oceans were made of ink,)

(And heaven became the paper,)

(And every blade of grass they made)

(Into pens for all the writers,)

(All people on earth could write about)

(The story of God's great love,)

(They could never finish! Never exhaust it!)

(The ocean itself would run dry!)

4.

Kand’ ukw ikunda Umwana Wayo,

Jye ni kw’inkunda, ntakwiriye

Nar’umugome, nukw’ impa Yesu,

Ngw’ambambirwe Ku Musaraba

Mubo Yacunguj’ayo maraso

Nzi yuko nanjye ndimo

Nzajya ndirimba Urwo rukundo,

Ndukwize mw isi Yose

(And as God loves His only Son,)

(So does He love me, unworthy)

(Even a rebel, He gave me Jesus,)

(To die for me on the Cross)

(Among those He poured out His blood for)

(I know that I too am included)

(I will sing of that boundless love,)

(And proclaim it throughout the world)
