Nshimy’ Umuremy’ Uhoraho(I praise the eternal Creator)

Wahanits’ ijuru,(Who made heaven,)

Inyanj’ akazidendeza;(The seas He measured out;)

Yiremeye byose(He created all things)

Yashyizeho n’ izuba rye(He set up His sun)

kumurika k’ umunsi,(To give light by day,)

N’ ukwezi n’ inyenyeri bye(And His moon and stars)

Byo kwaka n’ ijoro(To shine by night)

Mmushime ko yategetse(I praise Him who commanded)

Imyaka ngw imere;(The years to come forth;)

Yaremeshej’ ijambo rye(By His word He created)

Ibizima byose(All living things)

Nitegerez’ ibyiza bye(I consider His goodness)

Ku mpande zos’ iteka,(Everywhere forever,)

Hano hasi no hejuru;(Here below and above;)

Ntabgo bihinyuka(They never change)

Mw isi nta kintu kiriho(In the world there is nothing alive)

kiterekan’ ibye(That does not show His works)

Ni We wenyin’ utegeka(It is He alone who commands)

Izuba n’ imvura(The sun and the rain)

Imana ni Y’ ibeshaho(God is above)

Twe n’ inyamaswa zose(Us and all animals)

Nta hantu twayihungira,(There is no place we could flee from Him,)

Nta na hw itagera(Nor any place He does not reach)
