Imana ni yo mwungeri(God is my Shepherd true)

Undagiz’ urukundo;(Showing me perfect love;)

Niringiye yuko ntazakena,(I trust that I shall never want,)

Kuko nd’ intama ya Yesu(For I am a sheep of Jesus)

Andyamisha mu cyanya cye(He makes me lie down in His place)

Cy’ ubgatsi bwiza cyane,(Of pastures green and fair,)

Anjyan’ i ruhande rw’ imigezi,(He leads me beside the waters still,)

Itemba nez’ idasuma(That flow so calm and pure)

Ansubizamw intege nshya,(He restores my soul with strength anew,)

Zinkomez’ umutima,(To strengthen my heart within,)

Anyobor’ inzir’ igororotse(He guides me in paths of righteousness)

Kubwa rya zina rye ryera(For His holy name's own sake)

Nubwo naca mu gikombe(Even though I walk through the valley)

Cy’ umwijima w’ urupfu,(Of darkness and of death,)

Sinagir’ ikibi ntinya cyose,(I will fear no evil, none at all,)

Kuko turi kumw’ iteka(For we are together always)

Kand’ ujy’ undindish’ inkoni(For You guide me with Your rod)

Yawe n’ inshyimbo, Mana,(And Your staff, O God above,)

Nukw ibyo bizampumuririza(And these will give me comfort still)

No mu gicucu cy’ urupfu(Even in death's dark valley)

Untunganiriz’ ameza(You prepare a table before me)

Mu maso y’ abanyanga,(In the presence of my foes,)
