Mwen’ Imana yizerwa,(Child of the faithful God,)

Waterwa n’ ubwoba ?(Why are you afraid?)

Mbega, ntiwatorewe(Surely, have you not been chosen)

Umwam’ ugukunda ?(By a Lord who loves you?)

Ng’ umeny’ Uwagutoye,(As you know the One who chose you,)

Uce mu nzira ye, U(Walk in His way, and)

nyuz’ ikirenge mu cye(Trust your footsteps to His path)

Kukw ari we Shobuja(For He is the Almighty One)

N’ ubabara, wibgire(When you are hurt, confess)

Kw akubabarira;(That He will forgive you;)

Ni hagir’ ugutuka,(When you are angry, turn around,)

Umubabarire;(And forgive them too;)

Wizigir’ ugukunda:(Trust yourself to His love:)

Shikama kigabo,(Be calm and strong,)

Ng’ uzatsind’ abanzi bawe,(So you will overcome your enemies,)

Uberek’ urukundo(And display His love)

N’ ubon’ ibiruhanya,(When you see difficulties,)

Ukumva k’ utsinzwe,(And feel overcome,)

We kugir’ agahinda,(Don't give in to sorrow,)

Meny’ ibigufasha;(Know what will help you;)

Ngibi: senga, wizere;(This: pray, and believe;)

Komeza gusenga ;(Keep on praying still;)

Maz’ ureb’ Umusaraba(Then behold the Cross)

W’ Umwana w’ Uwiteka(Of the Son of the Lord Most High)
