Hos’ umunezero wacu,

Nukw indirimbo z’ ishimwe

Zizamuke ziger’ i bgami mw ijuru

Turajy’ i Siyoni,

Ku murwa mwiza w’ Imana,

Tunyur’ inzir’ ijya mw ijuru:

Ku murwa w’ Imana yacu

(O friends of Jesus, come,)

(Let us proclaim aloud)

(All our joy together,)

(And let songs of praise)

(Rise up and reach the kingdom in heaven)

(We are going to Zion,)

(To the beautiful city of God,)

(We walk the road that leads to heaven:)

(To the city of our God)

Yaziririmb’ ate se ?

N’ abana b’ Umwami basa

Bashobora gusingiza

Uwabacunguye, nkuko bikwiriye

(Who but our God alone)

(Could be praised with such songs?)

(And the children of the King indeed)

(Are able to exalt)

(The One who redeemed them, as is fitting)

Wuzuy’ ibyiza byinshi,

Kandi mu nzir’ iganayo

Tutaragera mw ijuru,

Twahaw’ ingwate yabyo ngo tunezerwe

(The city of Zion)

(Is filled with many blessings,)

(And on the road leading there)

(Before we reach heaven,)

(We are given foretastes of them to encourage us)

Nimuze, twishimane

Duca mu bwatsi bwa Yesu;

Tugiye mw is’ irut’ iyi, ni mw ijuru

(Be comforted now!)

(Come, let us rejoice)

(Let us go singing together,)

(Walking in the pasture of Jesus;)

(We are going to a land better than this, to heaven)
