N’ iya Yesu n’ Umusaraba we

Ni mpush’ inzira y’ Uwambambiwe

Sinzahabona n’ Umucy’ ubayo

Nta yindi nzira tuzabona:

Nta yiriho, haba n’ imwe

N’ ukur’ inzir’ ijya mw ijuru

N’ iy’ Umusaraba

(Behold the road to heaven is only one:)

(It is the way of Jesus and His cross)

(It is the narrow way of the Crucified One)

(I will not see the Light that lives there)

(There is no other way we will find:)

(There is none, not even one)

(And surely the road to heaven)

(Is the way of the cross)

Ukajy’ imbere y’ Imana yera,

Uce mu nzira twaciriwe nshya;

N’ iy’ amaraso y’ Umwami Yesu

(If you want to enter the Holy Place,)

(To go before the face of God most holy,)

(Walk in the new way opened for us;)
