Mw’ isi nd’ umushyitsi; —-Si ho nzab’ iteka;

Nzayivamo, ntahe—-Mw ijuru kwa Data

(In this world I'm a stranger;—Won't be here forever;)

(I will leave it, and go—To heaven with the Father)

Kandi nzamusanga—-Kuntebe y’ ubgiza

Na W azanyakira. Amp’ u buntu bginshi

(And I will find Him—At the throne of goodness)

(And He will welcome me, Give me abundant grace)

Maze, mban’ iteka—-Na We, nta gahinda

Sinzaruh’ ukundiHariy’ amahoro

(Then, I'll be forever—With Him, no sorrow)

(I'll never again be troubledWhere there is peace)

Y’ uwo Mutabazi—-Wankuye mu rupfu

(I'll be praising,—Kneeling before)

(That Redeemer—Who rescued me from death)
