Mbese, tuzahurirayo,(Shall we gather there,)

Kuri wa mugezi mwiza(By that beautiful river)

Uca mw ijuru hagati,(That flows through heaven's midst,)

Uv’ i bwami ku Mana yacu ?(Coming from God's kingdom?)

Koko tuzahurirayo,(Yes, we shall gather there,)

Tubonane n’ abera ku mugezi,(Meeting with the saints by the river,)

Ku mugez’ utunganye w’ Imana(By God's glorious river)

Uv’ i bgami ku Mana yacu(Coming from God's kingdom)

Tuzagendana ku nkombe(We will walk along the banks)

Y’ umugezi w’ ubugingo(Of the river of life)

Tuzasengan’ Uwiteka,(We will worship the Lord,)

Tuyisingiz’ iteka ryose(Praising Him forevermore)

Nuko, tutarabagera,(So, before we arrive there,)

Duturw’ imitwaro yose,(Let us lay down all burdens,)

Dukizwe n’ ubuntu bwayo:(Saved by its grace:)

Izatwambik’ imyenda yera(It will clothe us in white garments)

Tuzahurira n’ abera(We shall meet with the saints)

Ku mugez’ ubonerana;(By the river of meeting;)

Nta kizadutandukanya(Nothing will separate us)

Kuk’ urupfu rutagerayo(For death does not reach there)
