Tureb’ ibyo Data—Uri mw ijuru

Yaduhaye twese—Mur’ iri joro !

(Boys and girls,—Come all)

(To Bethlehem—To the stable;)

(Let's see what the Father—In heaven)

(Has given us all—On this night!)

Hamwe n’ abashumba, —Dushim’umwami

Uryamye mu byatsi—Nk’ uworoheje

Dusang’ ababyeyi—Banezerewe;

Duhuzen’ Intumwa—Kumusingiza

(Together with the shepherds,—Let's praise the King)

(Lying in the hay—Like a humble one)

(Let's find the parents—Rejoicing;)

(Let's join the Angels—In praising Him)

Uduh’ ubugingo, —Mumuhimbaze !

Muvuze n’ impundu—Hamwe n’ Intumwa;

Mubwire n’ abandi—Ibyo mwabonye

(Bow down before—The good Lord)

(Who gives us life,—Praise Him!)

(Speak with trumpets—Together with the Angels;)

(Tell others also—What you have seen)

Tumuhimbarize—Kukw adukunda

Dufatanye twese, —Tuvuz’ impundu,

Ngw abatamumenye—Baze gukizwa

(Let us all praise,—That good Lord,)

(Let us extol Him—For His love for us)
