Kand’ ubiduh’ ubudasiba

Utang’ utimana;

Ujy’ udukenura,

Bituma tuguhimbaza

(God in heaven above,)

(All things are Yours,)

(And You give them freely)

(Without measure;)

(You care for us,)

(Therefore we praise You)

Yes’ atugabira

N’ ubuntu bge n’ amahoro ye

Yatubabariye,

Twaramugomeye:

Mbes’ ibyo s’ igitangaza?

(The precious gift)

(Jesus gave to us)

(His kindness and His peace)

(He has forgiven us,)

(Though we rebelled:)
