Hafi y’ ururembo,(Near the city wall,)

Ah’ Umukiza yabambwe(Where the Savior was nailed)

Watubabarijwe(Suffering for us)

Ntabwo twabasha kumenya(We cannot fully know)

Uko yababajwe!(How He suffered!)

Twizeye gusa kw’ar’ twe(We only believe that it was for us)

Twatumy’ apfa nabi(That He died so cruelly)

Ni cyo cyatumy’ ibyaha byacu(This is what caused our sins)
