Nitegereje umusaraba(I look at the Cross)

Uwo Yesu yadupfiriyeho,(Where Jesus died for us,)

Mubonye, ndamutakambira(And seeing it, I cry to Him)

Ngo ambabarire(That He might pardon me)

Yesu Umwami ahimbazwe(Jesus the Lord be praised)

izina rye ryogezwe(His name be exalted)

Yanyogesheje amaraso ye(He cleansed with His blood)

Yesu ahimbazwe(Jesus be praised)

Imana ishimwe kuko inkiza(God be praised for salvation)

Imbaraga zi ibyaha zose(The power of all sins)

Bituma Yesu ambamo neza,(Makes Jesus cleanse me well,)

Akantunganya(And He puts me in order)

Ya soko nziza yoz’ ibyaha,(That precious fountain for sins,)

Nejejwe n’ uko nayinjiyemo;(I'm glad that I entered it;)

Ni yo Yesu ahora ankirisha;(It's what Jesus always fills me with;)

Ni yo anyejesha(It satisfies me)

Ngwino ku isoko ngari nziza!(Come to the fountain that is precious!)

Ca bugufi, wa mutindi we!(Come quickly, you who are thirsty!)

Jya ku birenge by’ Umukiza,(Go to the feet of the Savior,)

Ngo agutunganye(That He may put you in order)
