Wo Yesu yadupfiriyeho,

Nywubonye, ndamutakambira

Ngw ambabarire

Yes’umwami ahimbazwe

izina rye ryogezwe

Yanyogesheje amoroso ye:

Yes’ahimbazwe

(I survey the Cross)

(Where Jesus died for us,)

(And seeing it, I cry to Him)

(That He might pardon me)

(Jesus the Lord be praised)

(His name be exalted)

(He poured out His blood:)

(Jesus be praised)

Imbaraga z’ ibyaha zose

Bituma Yes’ambamo neza,

Akantunganya

(God be praised for salvation)

(The power of all sins)

(Makes Jesus cleanse me well,)

(And He puts me in order)

Nejejwe n’ uko nayinjiyemo;

Ni yo Yes’ahor’ankirisha;

Ni y’ anyejesha

(That precious fountain for sins,)

(I'm glad that I entered it;)

(It's what Jesus always fills me with;)

(It satisfies me)

Jya ku birenge by’ Umukiza,

Ngw agutunganye

(Come to the fountain that is precious!)

(Come quickly, you who are thirsty!)

(Go to the feet of the Savior,)
