Rimber’ igicucu,

Rinkiz’ impagarara

Mu rugendo rwanjye

(Of Jesus the Savior,)

Ng’unkize, ntagwayo

(Beyond the Cross)

(I see a tempter,)

(And the mouth of hell)

(Vomiting fire)

(But before it)

(There is the Cross,)

(Stretched out like arms)

(Saving me, not letting me fall)

Ndasa n’ushobora,

Kureba yesu abambwe

Iz’ ibyaha byanjye,

Nzajya nirata gusa

Uwo Musaraba!
