Imitim’ ikomezwa

No kwiringira cyane

Ko Yes’ azagaruka

Azaza vuba, ntazatinda

Tuzagir’ ibyishimo

Yes’ ubw’ uzagaruka

(Hearts are strengthened)

(By trusting greatly)

(That Jesus will return)

(He will come soon, He will not delay)

(We will have joy)

(When Jesus returns)

Kand’ abo twakundaga,

Iyo tubapfushije,

Tukababara cyane,

Iryo ni ryo ritwiringiza !

Turorere kurira:

N’aza, tuzabonana

(And those we loved,)

(When we have lost them,)

(We grieve greatly,)

(This is what gives us hope!)

(Let us stop crying:)

(When He comes, we will meet again)

Ni tugir’ amakuba,

N’ ibyo kutunaniza,

Twe gukuk’ imitima

Mw isi s’ i wacu: duhumure !

N’ ibyo kwihanganirwa

Kugez’ ahw azazira

(If we have troubles,)

(And things that discourage us,)

(Let us not lose heart)

(This world is not home: be comforted!)

(These things must be endured)

(Until He comes)

Tugeze ku meza ye,

Dusangir’ urwibutso

Rw’ umutsima na vino;

Bisur’ a meza yo mw Ijuru:

Ni ko tuzasangIra

Na W’ ubg’ azagaruka

(When we gather at His table,)

(Sharing the memorial)

(Of bread and wine;)

(It points to that table in Heaven:)

(Thus we will share)

(With Him when He returns)
