Biba mu gitondo imbuto z’ ineza;(Sow in the morning seeds of goodness;)
Jy’ ubiba ku manywa n’ ikigoroba(Continue sowing at noon and evening)
Rindira ko zera, . baze basarure,(Wait for them to grow, let them come to harvest,)
Tuzatund’ imiba, tunezerewe(We will gather the sheaves, rejoicing)

Ntugatiny’ ibihu n’ imbeho nyinshi(Do not fear the clouds and heavy cold)
Amasarura n’ imirimo bishize,(The harvest and the work are finished,)
Tuzatund’ imiba, tunezerewe(We will gather the sheaves, rejoicing)
Tugende turira, tubibir’ Umwami:(Let us go weeping, sowing for the Lord:)
Niba tubabazwa n’ abarimbuka,(If we are grieved for the perishing,)
Tuzahozwa n’ aza, dushir’ agahinda:(We will be comforted by those who come, ending our sorrow:)
Ni dutund’ imibaa tuzanezerwa !(When we gather the sheaves we will rejoice!)
