Yes’ azaganz’ ibihugu byose,

Iyo biva bikagera

Ndetse n’ iyi si yos’ izab’ ubwami bge,

Ari we Mwami w’ abami

(Jesus will reign over all nations,)

(From where they come to where they go)

(And all this earth will be His kingdom,)

(He is the King of kings)

Bazamusenga badacogora;

Bazamusingiz’ iteka

Izina rye rizababer’ impumuro,

Ikwire mw is’ isandare

(They will worship Him without growing weary;)

(They will praise Him forever)

(His name will be a fragrance to them,)

(Spreading throughout the whole world)

Twihute, twamamaz’ ibye hose,

Mu moko yose yo mw isi,

Ngw indimi zose zizavug’ ishimwe rye,

Zemere yukw ar’ Umwami

(Let us hurry, proclaiming His news everywhere,)

(In all the peoples of the world,)

(So that all tongues will speak His praise,)

(Confessing that He is Lord)

Imboh’ arazibobora,

Kand’ abakene na b’ akabakenura,

Indushy’ akaziruhumu

(In His reign, there is wonderful fortune:)

(He sets the prisoners free,)

(And the poor He lifts up from poverty,)

(The weary He gives rest)
