Twishimir’ umunsi w’ Imana,
Tubonahw ibyishimo
N’ umunsi turuhukiraho,
Tuvuye mu mirimo,
Imibabaro yac’ ivuyeho
No kwiganyira kose
N’ umuns’ abakuru n’ abato
Basingiz’ Uwiteka
(Let us rejoice in God's day,)
(We are given joy)
(A day we rest on,)
(Coming from our work,)
(Sorrow is driven away)
(And all striving)
(A day when old and young)
(Praise the Lord)
Imana yarangije byose
Kur’ uyu munsi mwiza;
Kandi ni ho Kristo yazutse
Urupf ‘arunesheje,
Ngo dukizw’ ibyaha n’ ingeso mbi;
Maz’ atwoherereza
Umwuka w’ Iman’ ihoraho,
Wamanutse mw ijuru
(God finished all things)
(On this beautiful day;)
(And it is when Christ rose)
(Death He conquered,)
(That we might be saved from sins and evil ways;)
(Then He sent us)
(The Spirit of the living God,)
(Who descended from heaven)
Iyo tugejej’ uyu munsi
Tubon’ ubukiriro,
Tuba dusa n’ abasohoye
Ahitwa Paradiso
Twari tuguy’ umwum’ ukabije;
None tubony’ amazi;
Kand’ isi twasezeranijwe
Tuba tuyigezemo
(When we reach this day)
(We see deliverance,)
(We are like those who arrived)
(In the place called Paradise)
(We had been in terrible thirst;)
(Now we see water;)
(And the land we were promised)
(We are entering it)
Non’ ingoma nyinshi zavuze
Guhamagaz’ abayo,
Bateranire gufungura
Ifunguro ry’ Imana:
Ubutumwa buramurikira
Bos’ abo mu mwijima,
Kandi busa n’ amazi meza
Ahembur’ imitima
(Now many bells have rung)
(Calling the people,)
(Gathering to open)
(The feast of God:)
(The message gives light)
(To all those in darkness,)
(And it is like good water)
(That refreshes hearts)
Nuko dusab’ Iman’ iduhe
Ub’ umugisha mushya
Kugira ngo tuzasohore
Mu bwami bwo mw ijuru
Ni ho tuzajya duhimbarisha
Ijwi ry’ umunezero
Data wa twese n’ Umwana we
Kandi n’ Umwuka Wera
(So we pray that God gives us)
(This new blessing)
(That we may arrive)
(In the kingdom in heaven)
(There we will raise)
(The voice of joy)
(To the Father of all and His Son)
(And also the Holy Spirit)
