Gukundana kw’ aba Yesu

Ni ko kudukoranije,

Ariko murunga w’ abana’ Imana

Yabanje gukund’ abayo

(Loving one another among Jesus' people)

(That is what unites us,)

(But in the family of God's children)

(He first loved those who are His)

Duhore dusabirana

Ngw iduh’ imitim’ ihuje,

Ngw imare muri twe ibyaha n’ ubgoba,

Iduh’ umugisha wayo

(Let us always pray for each other)

(That He may give us united hearts,)

(That He may end sins and drive them away from us,)

(That He may give us His blessing)

Twabon’ umukristo wese

Watay’ iyi nzira yayo,

Tuzinging’ Imana ngw imwibuts’ ibyayo

Ngo yonger’ arebe Yesu

(When we see any Christian)

(Who has abandoned His way,)

(Let us ask God that He may remind them of His things)

(That they may again look to Jesus)

Kand’ iyo dutandukanye,

Tujyanye n’ Umwami wacu,

Uhor’ uturindish’ ubuntu n’ ihirwe,

Dukomej’ ubumwe bwacu

(And when we are separated,)

(May we take our Lord with us,)

(Who always keeps us in mercy and blessing,)

(May we continue our unity)
