Ibidutangaza,

Abantu bo mur’ iyi si

Batari babona

(God has done well)

(Wonders for us,)

(People on this earth)

(Had never seen)

Muhimbaz’ Iyateguye

Inzira ducamo

Ni Y’ itubonanij’ ubu

Tutishwe n’ ibyaha

(Praise the One who prepared)

(The way we walk)

(He is the One who brought us together now)

(Though we are afflicted by sins)

Twaherukanaga kera,

Nyamara noneho

Dusubiye kubonana,

Dufit’ ibyishimo

(We had been separated before,)

(However now)

(We have met again,)

(We have joy)

Yemwe bagenzi dukunda,

Nta kibi twibuka

Mu byo twafatanyemo;

Turabashimiye

(You companions we love,)
