Wa mutima wanjye we, shim’ Uwiteka !(My heart, praise the Lord!)

Mwa bindimo byose mwe, mushime !(All that is within me, praise Him!)

Njye mpimbaz’ izina rye, ne kwibagirwa(I will praise His name, and not forget)

Iby’ Imana yankoreye byose(All that God has done for me)

Imbabarir’ ibyaha nakoze byose(He forgives all the sins I have committed)

Ni Y’ inkiz’ indwara zamugaje(He is the One who heals severe diseases)

Inyambik’ imbabazi zayo nk’ ikamba,(He crowns me with His mercies like a crown,)

Ikampaz’ ibyiza bidashira(He satisfies me with everlasting good things)

Ijy’ ikor’ ibyo gukiranuka gusa,(He does only what is compassionate,)

N’ abarenganyw’ ikabarengera(And He protects the oppressed)

Ic’ imanza ziboneye zitabera,(He judges righteous cases fairly,)

Kand’ igir’ imbabazi n’ ibambe(And He has mercy and patience)

Imenyesh’ abayubah’ inzirazayo(He shows those who fear His ways)

Uwitek’ atinda kurakara;(The Lord is slow to anger;)

Umujinya ntiyawuguman’ iteka(He does not hold grudges forever)

Akunda kugirira nez’ abe(He loves to do good to His own)

Uwiteka ntiyatwituy’ ibihwanye(The Lord does not repay us according)

N’ ibicumuro twamucumuye,(To the transgressions we have offended Him with,)

Kandi nkukw ijuru rye ryitaruy’ isi(And as His heaven is far from the earth)

Ni kw imbabaz’ agira zingana(So great is the mercy He has)

Ibuvazuba n’ iburengerazuba(From east to west)

Dor’ uko hitaruye kure pe(See how far it is)

Ni ko yajyanye n’ ibicumuro byacu(So He has removed our transgressions)

Kure yacu. Turamuhimbaza !(Far from us. We praise Him!)

Nkuko se w’ aban’ abagirir’ ibambe,(As a father has compassion on his children,)

Ni kw Imana yac’ irigirira Abantu bayubaha,(So God has compassion on people who fear Him,)

kukw izi nezaUbukene bwacu n’ intege nke(for He knows our weakness and little strength)

Iz’ ubugingo bgacu ko butarama;(He knows that our life does not last;)

Buhwanye n’ ubwatsi bushiraho(It is like grass that withers)

Ntibutinda; si nka za mbabazi zayo,(It does not endure; not like His mercies,)

Zo ntizizashir’ iteka ryose(Which will never end for all eternity)

Uwitonder’ isezerano ry’ Imana,(Whoever keeps the covenant of God,)

Ni ryo ryakomejwe n’ amaraso(Which was confirmed by the blood)

Ayo Yes’ Umwana w’ Intama yavuye,(That Jesus the Lamb shed,)

Kand’ akumvir’ ibyo yategetse,(And obeys what He commanded,)

Ni w’ ugirirwa neza n’ Iman’ iteka,(Will be treated well by God forever,)

Non’ akiri mw isi no mw ijuru,(Now while still on earth and in heaven,)

Iman’ izamwerek’ imbabazi zayo(God will show them His mercies)

N’ umurava no gukiranuka(And compassion and kindness)
