Uyu mwana w’ uruhinja ni nde,(Who is this child of the flock,)

Wabyawe n’ umukene?(Born in poverty?)

Dor’ aryamye mu kiraro cy’ inka(Behold He lies in a cattle manger)

Kukw icumbi ryabuze(Because the room was full)

N’ Umuremyi w’isi yose;(He is the Creator of the whole world;)

Ni W’ uhindutse muto;(He is the one who became small;)

N’ Uwiteka Nyirigira(He is the Eternal Lord)

Ntagir’ umurengera?(Having no defender?)

Ni We Man’ ih’ imigisha(He is God giving blessings)

Abo yicunguriye,(To those He saved,)
