Icyamp’ ukanyikorerera

Amaganya yanjye yose, Yesu,

Ngaturiz’ Uwiteka,

Nkamenya yukw ibyanjye byose

Ubitegekesh’ ubugwaneza

N’ ubgenge burutaho

(How much longer will you worry about)

(All your concerns, Jesus,)

(While trusting the Lord,)

(Knowing that all your affairs)

(He governs with grace)

(And wisdom beyond measure)

Kenshi ntiny’ ibiribubeho,

Ngahagarik’ umutima, Mwami,

Ngize kwizera guke

Icyampa nkarorera rwose

Kwishingikiriza ku by’ iyi si,

Nkakwizera wenyine

(Often I don't know what will happen,)

(I restrain my heart, Lord,)

(I lack faith)

(How much longer will I completely stop)

(Relying on the things of this world,)

(And trust You alone)

Nabuzwa n’ iki kuyisaba,

Nkajya nyisunga, nkayikoreza

Ayo maganya yose,

Ngahumurizwa no kumenya

Yuko Dat’ ugaburir’ inyoni

Azanyumvira nanjye ?

(What prevents me from asking it,)

(While I carry it, while I work for it)

(All those concerns,)

(Being humbled even to know)

(That the Father who provides for the birds)

(Will also listen to me?)

Ntitwizer’ uko bikwiriye;

Umutim’ uhagaz’ ujugunya

Rwos’ amahoro yawo

Arikw inyoni n’ uburabyo

Binyigisha k’ umuns’ ukwiriwe

N’ ibyawo byago gusa

(We don't believe as we should;)

(The restrained heart completely loses)

(Its peace)

(Yet the birds and the flowers)

(Teach me that the One who is worthy)

(Cares only for their needs)

Umpe kumeny’ ibyo nigishwa

N’ uburabyo n’ inyoni, Mukiza,

Nkwishingikirizeho !

Ngez’ ah’ ushaka, Mushorera,

Nuko menye, nkiri mu makuba,

Amahor’ adashira

(Help me to know what I am taught)
