Tukabeshywa n’ Umubi(We are misled by the Evil One)

Yuko twigirir’ umwete,(That we should arm ourselves with faith,)

Tukang’ Umusaraba,(That we should carry the Cross,)

Twang’ iyo nzira — s’ iyacu(We carry that way—not our own)

Tuzagenda nka Yesu,(We will walk like Jesus,)

Yambitsw’ ikamba ry’ amahwa,(Clothed in the crown of thorns,)

Yemey’ Umusaraba(He accepted the Cross)
