Tugushime, —Udukere, Mucyo wacu,
Twe kuguma mu mwijima

(You bought us with Your blood)
(When You were dying for us)
(Bodies and hearts)
(Are Yours because of Your grace)
(That gave us life)
(Now we are Yours because You chose us;)
(We praise You, protect us, our Light,)
(Lest we remain in darkness)

Ntibanga gusuzugurwa

(It is You who loved us of Your own will)
(Because of Your abundant grace)
(We have no strength:)
(No one can serve You,)
(Unless You give them power,)
(Guide our hearts! Take us to the Father)
(In His kingdom: Those who truly seek it)
(Will not refuse to be transformed)

Tum’ abagusarurira !

Guhamagar’ abantu benshi,

Uwemerwa wese—Mu bgami bg’ Imana
Arahirwa; —Anezezwa n’ amahoro
Azagir’ iteka ryose

(May we be driven by Your grace)
(To call many people,)
(To receive the blessings of God)
(Everyone who believes in the kingdom of God)
