Yemw’ abasubir’ iyo muva,

I kuzimu kwa Nyamutezi,

Mukarekur’ Umusaraba,

Ko muneshejwe ?

Yes’ ubw’ azagaruka,

Aje kwim’ ingoma ve,

Tuzamurebesh’ amas’ as’ ate,

Dufit’ ibyaha?

(You who return where you came from,)

(To hell of the destroyer,)

(Abandoning the Cross,)

(Because you despise it?)

(When Jesus returns,)

(Coming to establish His kingdom,)

(Will we show Him those stains again,)

(While we have sins?)

Ntusohore ku Musaraba,

Wizey’ iki se ?

(When you are of good conduct,)

(Keeping all things of the Church,)

(Not washed at the Cross,)

(What do you trust in?)

Ubw’ ur’ umunyabwenge bwinshi,

(When you have much wisdom,)

(You know everything and can manage it,)

(But ignorant about the Cross,)

(What does it profit you?)

Utinya kwihana ng’ ukizwe,

Uzageza he ?

(When you have much shame,)

(Fearing to sacrifice as saved,)

(Thinking it is humiliation,)

(Where will you reach?)
