Tubabarire: —Duh’ umugisha

Tumurikirwe—N’ ubuntu bgawe,

Ngw inzira yaw’ imenyekane mw isi,

Abantu bameny’ ubugingo bgawe

(Have mercy on us: Give us blessing)

(Let us serve You with Your grace,)

(That Your way may be known in the earth,)

(That people may know Your salvation)

Kand’ amahanga—Agusingize

Nukw anezerwe, —Kand’ aririmbe

Ur’ umucamanza n’ Umwami wabo;

Uzacir’ ab’ isi—Imanza nziza

(And let the nations praise You)

(And let them be glad, and sing)

(You are the judge and Lord of them;)

(You will judge the people with righteousness)

Wategets’ isi—Ngo yer’ imyaka

Mana, ni Wowe—Uturengera

Imigish’ uduha—Tuyamamaze,

Maz’ iyi si yos’ ikugandukire

(You have commanded the earth to yield its harvest)

(God, it is You who blesses us)

(The blessings You give us we have enjoyed,)

(May all the earth worship You)
