Ibihe nsenga Uwiteka(The times I pray to the Lord)

Bintarura mu mpagarara,(Deliver me from distress,)

Ngo nigira aho Data ari,(That I may go where the Father is,)

Muganyir’ ibyo nkennye byose(Make all my wants and wishes known)

Mu bihe by’ umubabaro,(In seasons of distress and grief)

Bimpumuriza umutima(My soul has often found relief)

Nsinda ubukana bw' umwanzi,(And oft escaped the tempter's snare)

Mu bihe byiza byo gusenga(By returning, sweet hour of prayer)

Ibihe nsenga Uwiteka(The times I pray to Lord, my King)

Binyemeza yuko asubiza(Assures He hears the prayers I bring)

Ategereje abana be,(For His children, he's waiting now)

Ngo bamusange abakenure(so He may bless as He knows how)

Ndamwihereje rwose ubu(I give myself to Him right now)

Kuko yampamagaye ubwe(And since He called me, him to bow)

Niringiye bwa buntu bwe:(I believe and trust in His grace)

Nogeza ibihe byo gusenga(and increase those sweet times of prayer)

Guhora nsenga Uwiteka(Continuing to pray to God)

Kujye kumara umubabaro,(Will be the end of my sorrow)

kugeza aho nzagera i We,(Until the time I reach His place)

Mwirebere ngeze mu ijuru(Myself, in heaven, to see his face)

Niyambuye umubiri upfa,(When I leave this body of death)

Nambaye kudapfa iteka;(And put on his eternal life)

Ubwo ni bwo nzasezera(Is when I get to say goodbye)

Ku bihe byiza byo gusenga(To the so dear sweet hours of prayer)
