Musang’ Umwam’ ugir’ ubuntu,

Abatakimwizigira

Ntiyanga kwakir’ abatindi;

Ahabur’ abazimiye

Kandi yemeye kubapfira:

Yabaviriy’ amaraso

Nta kind’ abasha gukirisha

Abanze kumvir’ Imana

(Find the Lord who has mercy,)

(Those who do not trust in Him)

(He does not refuse to receive the unworthy;)

(He calls to the lost)

(And He agreed to die for them:)

(He shed His blood for them)

(No one else can receive)

(Those who first obey God)

Musang’ Umwam’ ujy’ ahembura

Nimuze, mwes’ abaguye,

Batacyizigir’ agakiza:

Abategey’ amaboko !

Yakirishij’ ubuntu bginshi

Wa munyabyahakaz’ arira;

na Wa mwambuzi babambanywe

Ntiyamwisungiy’ ubusa

(Find the Lord who goes pleading)

(Come, you who have fallen,)

(Who no longer trust in salvation:)

(Who stretch out their hands!)

(He showed great mercy)

(When that great sinner wept;)

(And that thief crucified with Him)

(He did not pray to Him in vain)

Musang’ ubasha kuruhura;

Az’ ibibarushya byose

Kubg’ urukundo rusaga,

Ahez’ ibibashavuza

Cya gihe, muri Getsemani,

Yariz amarira menshi:

Kubg’ ubuntu bge buhoraho,

Azahanagur’ ayanyu

(Find the one who can comfort;)

(He bears all that is heavy)

(Because of His surpassing love,)

(He dries all tears)

(That time, in Gethsemane,)

(He shed many tears:)

(Because of His everlasting mercy,)

(He will renew yours)
