Yesu yabasanze: —Arabashaka;(Jesus has sought you: —He desires you;)

Namwe muh’ Umwami—Imitima(You too give the Lord—Your hearts)

Mwitinyishwa n’ uko mufit’ ibyaha,(You are afraid because you have sins,)

Ngw azabang’ abater’ umugongo;(Who will be those who turn their backs;)

Ntabgo yabigira: —Yasezeranye(He will not do so: —He has promised)

Kwakir’ uwihannye—Umwizera(To receive whoever repents—And believes)

Ni W’ ubge wizanye gukiz’ abantu;(It is He Himself who came to save people;)

Yavuye ku Witek’ aza mw isi(He left the Lord and came to earth)

Ngo tubon’ ijuru, —Yaradukunze;(That we may see heaven, —He loved us;)

Yaratubambiwe, —Yaravumwe !(He was crucified for us, —He was pierced!)

Abgira bos’ ati: Jye nd’ Ubugingo,(He says to all: I am Life,)

Kand’ unyizera wese ntazapfa(And whoever believes in Me will never die)

Nzamuha kubaho—Mu bgami bganjye;(I will give him to live—In My kingdom;)

N’ urupfu nzamuha—Kurunesha(And death I will give him—To overcome)
