Naho natanga ibyo ntunze byose,

nanjye ubwanjye nkitanga ngo ntwikwe,

ntacyo byamarira bimpindukiye ubusa

Gukiranuka kw’umwami ni kwinshi

(even if I give all I possess)

(and though I give my body to be burned)

(it’s in vain ,they are not of help)

(the standard of the Lord is Higher)

Uwiteka nyir’ubwenge bwose

Yarabigaye ibyabisi Bose

Mu kwera kwe ntawa hagarara

Gukiranuka k’umwami ni kwinshi

(God is Omniscient)

(he has Disqualified the Righteousness of men)

(no one can stand in his righteousness)

(The standard of the lord is high)

Ubwo mbony’inzira reka Ngushime

Mbonye ya nzira wiciriye

Umpaye umwami wanjye Andengere

Ntayindi nzira yobonetse

Gukiranuka k’umwami ni kwinshi

(Now for I have seen the only way, let me Rejoice)

(I have found the only worthy way you have created)

(you have given me my Lord for my redemption)

(Truly there is no other way to be found)

Nyir’ubutungane

Nyen’imbabazi

Nyir’ubuntu bwinshi

Mbega ukuntu agira neza

Mbuz’amazina na mwita

(Oh life Giver)

(the righteous one)

(The merciful one)

(The Gracious one)

(Oh how kind He is)

(I have not enough names to name him)
